We have been together since May of 2006, when we met here in Austin, Texas. Jake proposed on Valentine's Day of 2008, and on April 11th, 2009, we were married. 2010 has brought us plenty of excitement - in January, we found out that we were expecting our first child, and on September 25, we welcomed our daughter Taylor.
A little background info about us:
Although we live in Austin, we are both originally from the Midwest (Jake has lived in Austin since late spring of '01, Christy since late summer of '04). Jake is from Lake Orion, Michigan, and is a University of Michigan alum (May '01). He completed his MBA at the University of Texas (December '07) and works as a software engineer.
Christy is from Berne, Indiana (only about a 4 hour drive from Lake Orion), and a graduate of Indiana University (December '02). She has a Master's of Science in Information Studies from the University of Texas (December '07) and is currently working as an archivist.
